Stone Plastics is looking for an experienced Gager to join our Quality Team! This is a third shift role (11pm-7am) with some overtime opportunities. All training is done on 1st shift (7am-3pm). Please view below for an outline what this role. We are excited to add to our team!

Primary Functions (What)
For receiving inspections, the Gager is responsible to inspect product per receiving inspection instructions as assigned and ensure incoming materials conform to predetermined specifications. If non-conforming material is identified, the Gager must immediately communicate the issue to the Quality Representative (QR).
For in-process inspections, the Gager will receive parts from the QR at a specified frequency and measure the product characteristics. The Gager compares these measurements to predetermined product specifications to verify product conformance. If non-conforming material is identified, the Gager must immediately communicate the issue to the QR.
The Gagers may periodically be tasked with inspecting product per NCM instructions and assisting other members of the Quality Department as needed.

Desired Qualifications
In this position you may be required to routinely walk, stand for extended periods of time, and have specific vision abilities related to depth perception and color vision. You may also be required to lift and carry items weighing less than 25 lbs. While performing this position, you will often be exposed to moving or mechanical parts and moderate noise levels found in a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment
Production with 90% in a climate-controlled laboratory
This role is partially carried out on the production floor. The production floor is an industrial manufacturing environment that is, at times, noisy and fast paced with constant movement of heavy equipment. The production floor climate is seasonably warm during summer months, comfortably cool during winter months. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required which includes approved eye protection.

Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Manufacturing experience
- Plastic Injection Molding experience
- Hi-Lo Certification
- General math and measuring capabilities
- Vision abilities including color and depth perception
- Works independently with minimal supervision
- General problem solving and mechanical ability
- Experience with measuring devices such as calipers, digital indicators, micrometers, etc (preferred but not required)
